Hertfordshire Showband - World Music Contest 2017

The Hertfordshire Showband are delighteed to announce their participation in the World Music Contest 2017...

Hertfordshire Showband has been accepted to participate in the 2017 World Music Contest in Kerkrade, Holland for the 7th consecutive time, since our first appearance in 1993.

The band are delighted and will be performing on the weekend of 22nd and 23rd July. This is a fantastic opportunity for the only UK band to be part of this prestigious event.

More than 20,000 participants from all over the World from over 250 Bands and Orchestras are expected to take part in World Music Contest in Kerkrade from 6th to 30th July.

With over 40 years experience of performing, the Hertfordshire Showband is an open community concert and marching showband, open to all ages and based in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, UK.

Having performed at the Royal Albert Hall, the opening of the London 2012 Olympic Stadium, the Lord Mayor's Show, Disneyland Paris,Windsor Castle and many national and local events. The bands versatility means parades, concerts, gigs, weddings and processions are all within our ability.

With a loyal membership, our strong friendships keep this energetic band always driving for new experiences.

This year, the band enters the March Parade at World Music Contest for the first time, a style of contest not seen in the UK. The Band truly hope to bring this style to the UK so others can enjoy a different style of competing.
